In 2008, the in evidenza ensemble was begun by Manuel Esperilla, Matias Seibaek and Andres Ramos in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark. The ensemble strives to show fresh perspectives in approaches to contemporary music, bringing energy and life to every performance while connecting audiences to new sounds in a personal way. The main goal is to actively participate in the development and creation of new music with young composers, and to deliver music from the outstanding contemporary music repertoire to a wider audience. The future of the ensemble expands on the possibilities of collaborations with other artistic media, such as photography, dance and more. in evidenza’s programmes themselves determine the makeup of the ensemble. From solo to trio, to even larger chamber combinations, this open format enables different configurations of the group and allows in evidenza to take part in a wide range projects. Education is an important aspect of the ensemble’s mission, with a focus on sensitizing young people to music they don’t hear very often in order to inspire and develop a more critical audience for music in general.
