Andrés Ramos was born in France in 1982 but grew up in Chile. There he started the drum set at the age of 14 and in the year 2000 he entered the percussion class in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile with the teacher José Diaz. In 2002 he enters the Conservatoire National de Région Strasbourg with Emmanuel Séjourné, Stephan Fougeroux and Denis Riedinger as teachers. In 2006 he completes the Diplôme d’Etudes Musicales (DEM) Percussion. While in the conservatory he plays in several chamber music projects, new music creations (with Armand Angster as a teacher) orchestra projects, and as a solist. He also studies composition for 2 years with Ivan Fedele. In 2007 he enters the Royal Danish Academy of Music with profesor Gert Mortensen and with Johan Bridger, where he finishes his Master in percussion in 2009. In this institution he has played in several orchestral, chamber music projects and as a solist. He plays in in evidenza ensemble and is a founding member of this ensemble.
